While most eel sauces have a high viscosity, Guenpin has developed a unique, smooth, shoyu-based sauce in cooperation with the soy sauce maker that produces Guenpin's original ponzu sauce.
The use of familiar soy sauce makes it a perfect match when served with Guenpin's signature fugu (pufferfish).
In addition, we are particular about the "rice" that is served with eel.
We not only changed the rice to match the taste of eel, but also pursued the degree of soaking, the amount of water, and the cooking method.
We have arrived at the best way to cook rice so that the grains of rice stand out more and the original sweetness of the rice can be tasted.
